The Application Potential of LED Products

At present, LED products are being widely applied in various display and indicator lights, which cover a large mount of new and potential application, for instance, LED backlights, LED flashlights, LED headlamps, LED controllers, LED control systems, LED power supply, LED dimmers, 7 segment LED displays, LED displays, LED indicators, LED lens, LED modules, LEDs, rigid LED strips, SMD LEDs and white LEDs.

When it concerned to the detail application area of LED products, it can summarized as follow:

Firstly, lighting industry, this is one of the most primary field. There are architecture lighting and environment decoration products including street lights, motorcycle, bicycle lights, toys and recreational sporting goods, such as the flashlight, emergency vehicle lighting and so on. Take grow lights as example, it is consisted of LEDs, which are more efficient, both because LEDs produce more lumens per watt than other alternatives, and also because they can be tuned to the specific wavelengths plants can make the most use of.

Secondly, display area, which is also an important application area. For example, large scale video displays, status indicators on all sorts of equipment like traffic lights and signals, exit signs, as well as continuity indicators. LED display at airport, railway station and other public place where need message display. It is a perfect selection as destination display.

Thirdly, it is light source for machine vision systems, where need bright, focused, homogeneous and possibly strobe illumination. Red or yellow LEDs are applied in indicator and alphanumeric displays in environments where night vision must be retained, for instance, aircraft cockpits, submarine and ship bridges, astronomy observatories, and in the field like night time animal watching and military field use.
