Philips Lighting Illuminated the Cebu Capitol Building

It is said that Philips lighting illuminated the Cebu Capitol Building with LED bulbs. The Cebu Capitol Building will be charged for free by the company in accordance with Provincial Engineer Eulogio Pelayre built last month. Adopting LED bulbs, Capitol can save 70 percent in power bills. Besides, the maintenance or replacement of bulbs isn't required for the next 15 years at least.

Pelayre also told CEBU DAILY NEWS that, "If there will be some problems, we will just call Philips Philippines, for as long as we need them." Philips Philippines undertook the cost of lighting the dome-shaped edifice.

Apart from the Cebu Capitol,  Philips LED systems also brightened other global landmarks, such as the New Zealand’s Sky Tower, England's Buckingham Palace, the Singapore Flyer, China1's Science and Technology Building, and the Cairo Tower in Egypt, etc.
